Vector Graphics

Quality images created by a camera or in photoshop are called ‘Pixel’ images. For logos and graphics (like the map image below) that need to be produced in a very large size it is best to create them as a vector graphic. A vector graphic is a type of image. It is a graphical representation of mathematical objects such as lines, curves, shapes, polygons and its like. These graphics are generated by computer and they follow x and y axis as their reference definition.

Product Photography

Quality product photography services are available.
Projects so far have included food, automotive parts and painting products/equipment.

Retouching Images

Images often need retouching and colour correcting, especially historical images that have aged or been damaged as per example below. Anything that needs
to be removed or cleaned up on the image can be achieved as long as there is enough resolution in the image. The higher quality of image the better quality retouching can be achieved. Images that require the background removed especially behind and around people can also be done. This is called a contour (or also known as a deep etch).

Finished Art

There are many facets to Finished Art. Predominantly it is the production end of graphic design and the advertising industry. Traditionally this was only for Print and Signage, but in today’s world it now includes digital and web. It is the Finished Artist’s role to create the ‘final artwork’ from a designer’s concept and ensure it is set up correctly, so when it is produced on the designated media, it will appear as it was originally intended.

Many different forms of design and advertising media can be created by the finished artist. The following three examples give a small snapshot into the role:

1. The designer has set up an A4 poster concept which has been signed off by the client, then handed to the finished artist to produce A3 and A2 posters and custom sized adshells.

2. A designer has come up with a style of the first 2 to 3 pages of an Annual Report that the client has approved. It is then handed to the finished artist to layout the rest of the report using the style set including fonts, colours, margins, images, graphics etc. While keeping the integrity of the design style consistent throughout, the finished artist also adheres to the production specifications of the report being produced.

3. A designer skilled in interior design and 3D graphics has produced a visual document scaled at 1:20 on A3 page document. It has been signed off by client, so is briefed into the finished artist to produce all the elements (eg. vinyl lettering, vinyl graphics, 3D graphics, printed wall panels, printed slip-ins, printed masterplan/maps, wayfinding signs) in the visual document at 1:1 in a vector format where applicable.
